Best use of a curtain walling system

BOHO X
Galliford Try with Titan Facades

Overlooking the iconic Transporter Bridge and imposing itself within the BOHO quarter the combination of traditional brick and glass creates a stunning addition to the Middlesbrough skyline.

Titan were engaged to supply Schuco windows, doors and curtain walling to the external façade of the building, and use of high-performance glass, and thermally efficient windows achieved the required aesthetic as well as low u-values whilst keeping the natural light into the building at a maximum.

External landscaping and an open-air bar on the roof area will certainly make this place one of ‘THE’ places to work (and play).

SLAM DBH
IHP (JV between Vinci and SRM) with systems supplied by Kawneer and Aluprof

JPJ where chosen as sub contractor on this project and predominantly use the Kawneer range of products. The Kawneer curtain wall range can be used in multiple applications but one the installer struggled with was the slopped curtain wall, as this needed to be 60/60 FR. Kawneer could not achieve this with anything outside of a vertical option, hence the Aluprof product being used.

The project was completed on time. JPJ's original contracted works started in December 2021, with an original 8 months contract on site. Due to some areas not being ready but mostly down to variation works, this was extended to March 2023.
